Most of us have day jobs, and we work away at our “passion vocation” at night and on the weekends, whether it’s ballroom dancing, needle felting, mystery writing or art. One of the wonderful parts of our KCG work is coming across a passion in the lives of our friends and colleagues. During a lunch meeting at our friend Melissa Crawford’s house, we discovered that she has a talent not only for interior design but also for art. This wonderful piece was hanging in her dining room, and others were on display throughout the house. Its three-dimensional body came out into the space in a chaotic flutter, capturing the eye and delivering a surprising cool-blue and earth-toned dose of serenity. As always, it’s a reminder that certain talents aren’t always obvious in the office; they need to be discovered, and preferably over a great meal.
